Rook are you asking about the bolts and nut's that hold the tie rod's, more commonly known as the dog bones? If those are it 44 lbs.
Steering stem head nut calls for 58 lbs. But that really doesn't cover it. It is almost an art to get that right. Hub is better at explaining, "mechanical art". He will also know exactly what I am talking about.

"Dog bones," I believe they are. They look like dog bones. They are a part of the rear suspension and they are way down under the bike at about oil pan level. The lowest nut is just about impossible to get a wrench on. I didn't have a rear stand when the 14 was new so I had someone sit on the bike and compress the suspension which helped. Come to think of it, I didn't have a torque wrench either. Better do it right this time. We'll go with 44 lbs.
I'll have to ask hub about the mystery behind the stem nut. For now, if I go out and my wrench clicks at 58'lbs, I'll be satisfied.
Many thanks, Phil. Don't worry, I'm writing all this down and I will get my computer to open that Service Manual sooner or later.
